Accounting Intern - Summer 2025

We are seeking an accounting intern to join our South Portland office. Flexible/remote working options are available.

Job Details: 

• The individual should be able to work independently and in small groups, possess a solid understanding of accounting, be able to communicate clearly with clients and senior staff, be organized and efficient, and be willing to take on multiple new tasks.
• Overnight travel is periodically required for accountants in this position. Overnight travel expenses are all reimbursed by Runyon Kersteen Ouellette. Mileage is also reimbursed. In addition, we provide a $40/night stipend to staff for overnight travel.
• Experience in auditing and/or tax preparation services is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should have an understanding of basic accounting, auditing and/or tax return preparation. 
• Desired Skills - Financial Auditing, Financial Audits, Auditing, Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

This is a paid internship.
