💼 Position Summary:

We are seeking a local CAD Engineer proficient in Tekla Structures to join our team. You’ll be responsible for modeling structural steel systems, generating shop drawings, erection plans, and material lists, and working closely with our fabrication and field crews to ensure smooth execution.

🛠 Responsibilities:

• Create and manage 3D Tekla models for structural steel projects
• Generate accurate fabrication and erection drawings
• Produce material takeoffs and CNC files for shop use
• Coordinate with project managers, shop leads, and field welders
• Revise drawings per RFI/field conditions or change orders
• Maintain drawing records and revision logs

✅ Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience using Tekla Structures in a structural steel environment
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication practices and connection details
• Proficiency in reading structural and architectural drawings
• Knowledge of AISC standards
• Local to the Des Moines metro area or willing to commute daily
• Self-driven and able to manage multiple projects at once
