The London Group is driving Solar Retail growth across Tampa and Clearwater through direct outreach and strategic community engagement. We are actively onboarding ambitious Energy Sales Representatives, providing immersive training that prepares them to lead program expansion, uncover high-impact market opportunities, and reshape how homeowners engage with clean energy.

As an Energy Sales Representative, you’ll enter a hands-on training program that builds proficiency in lead generation, consultative selling, proposal delivery, and closing. Designed for self-starters with drive and persuasive energy, this role paves the way for career growth and measurable success in the fast-moving solar sector.

Essential Functions of the Energy Sales Representative Role

  • Generate new leads and identify prospective customers for solar energy solutions through direct, proactive outreach in assigned territories.
  • Contribute actively to Solar Retail market initiatives by mastering initial customer consultations, identifying prime homeowner segments, and engagement strategies.
  • Gain working knowledge across core sales functions, including energy needs analysis, proposal creation, and objection handling for solar adoption.
  • Shadow seasoned leaders to learn effective direct sales techniques, strategic communication, and program expansion methodologies.
  • Support market insights by analyzing key sales metrics and identifying actionable trends for ongoing solar adoption in Tampa & Clearwater.
  • Participate in structured sales training and gradually take on responsibilities for conducting in-home or virtual consultations with potential customers.
  • Collaborate on the execution and refinement of direct sales campaigns to meet Solar Retail delivery standards and market penetration goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive energy assessments to identify growth opportunities, monitor competitor presence, and assess evolving customer needs for renewable power.
  • Build competency in negotiating terms and successfully closing sales contracts for solar installations.
  • Pursue professional growth through seminars, workshops, and peer learning to sharpen sales acumen and strategic direct outreach skills.

Education & Experience Needed for the Energy Sales Representative Role

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years’ experience in customer-facing roles with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership potential or participation in team-based activities is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities, especially in persuasive contexts.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly proactive in driving sales outcomes.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and eager to learn quickly about solar technology and financing options.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude with a results-driven mindset for overcoming sales challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; open to learning CRM systems and sales presentation tools.
  • Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
