Job Title: Entry-Level Field Insurance Adjuster

Location: Central PA with Daily Travel
Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $17 - $19 / hourly
Reports To: Claims Director

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Inspections: Conduct field visits to assess property damage, gather necessary documentation, and meet with policyholders or third parties as needed.
  • Daily Travel: Travel to various locations to inspect sites, meet with clients, and support the claims adjustment process.
  • Training & Development: Work closely with the Claims Director to gain expertise in writing estimates, analyzing claim details, and applying industry best practices.
  • Estimate Preparation: Learn how to effectively prepare accurate and detailed estimates for property damages using estimating software.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Claims Director and other team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of the claims process.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel daily to various locations as required by the role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of computer systems and the ability to learn industry-specific software (e.g., Xactimate).
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.

Preferred But Not Required:

  • Previous customer service, construction, or related experience.
  • Familiarity with insurance policies or claims processes.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licensing or certifications as required by the role.
