A mid-sized Buffalo-based law firm is looking to add an experienced Tax Attorney to their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with clients on complex tax matters related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), succession planning, and a variety of business law transactions.

Duties:

• Provide clients with expert legal advice and counsel on tax-related issues
• Represent clients in implementing effective tax-driven structures for corporate and real estate transactions
• Advise clients on NYS and federal tax matters
• Maintain and foster client relationships
• Structure and execute M&A transactions focusing on tax efficiency and compliance
• Develop and implement tax strategies for business succession planning

Job Requirements

• JD from accredited law school
• Admitted and in good standing with NYS Bar
• 5-15 years of practicing tax law experience, focus on business transactions preferred
• CPA certification or LLM a plus
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
