Position : Inventory / Supply Chain Analyst
Location : Chicago, IL
Duration : 12 Months
NOTES: Mandate to have
- TechOps, Provisioning for 'soft products' on planes
- 20 SKUs that will be transitioning vendors
- Goal for analyst to track transitions from one supplier to another and help create dashboards to visualize their inventory health
- Tools: excel based mostly
- Analyst - Inventory Performance IV
- This is a new position and the business initiative is RFP product transitions.

Work Schedule:
- Hybrid - need to be onsite on Tuesday Wednesday Thursday in office additional in office days as required

TECHNICAL OPERATIONS/MAINTENANCE:
- Technical Operations includes the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft.
- This includes aircraft maintenance technicians engineers planners ground equipment and facilities teams supply chain teams and more.
JOB OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Analyst IV Inventory Performance is responsible for the strategic productivity and tactical execution of United Airlines' provisioning inventory.
- The Analyst will accomplish tactical inventory execution through active project management and inventory planning.
- A continuous focus on improving operational reliability by finding trends in data and developing ways to leverage that information to reduce disruptions to the operation. Improves operational reliability by minimizing out of stock events.
- Development of tools for managing inventory.
- Monitors vendor and supplier execution to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Support transition timelines to meet requirements for new product launches.
- Extracts data from a variety of sources for use in analysis and models leverage data for ad-hoc reporting identifying issues performing root cause analysis.
- Translating data into meaningful insights and present recommendations to key decision makers.
- Develops inventory requirements for initial provisioning in support of new fleet growth.
- Monitors analyzes and reports on performance against plan.
- Continuously interface with business groups throughout United to understand organizational needs and design.
- Drive continuous improvement through the systematic use of tools techniques and analysis.
- Provides actionable insight to short- and long-term forecasts for the purposes of budgetary planning and integrated business planning.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXTERNAL REQUIRED:
- Bachelor`s Degree in quantitative field like Math Statistics Operations Research Engineering Business Aviation management or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 1-year experience in fields of the Analytics Supply Chain Airline or Manufacturing Industry
- Strong communication and writing skills? Self-Motivated and engrained Continuous Improvement experience
- Strong people skills and ability to develop internal and external relationships
- Proven ability to generate consensus amongst disparate viewpoints
- Demonstrated abilities to find creative ways to reduce operational costs
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage workload accordingly through task prioritization
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Be experienced in manipulating and analysing complex high-volume high dimensionality data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships
- Have a sense of urgency in completing assignments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED
- Knowledge in querying and manipulating relational databases via Teradata SQL Assistant Oracle SQL Developer MySQL Microsoft SQL
- Proven analytical and quantitative ability use data and metrics to validate hypothesis and perform root cause analyses
