Job Summary:

The Front Office Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing welcoming, efficient, and friendly service. This role involves managing all front office operations including patient registration, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of patient traffic. The receptionist will also handle administrative tasks related to patient care and will collaborate closely with clinical staff to maintain a positive patient experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule appointments and confirm patient details using Practice Management System (EMR).
  • Collect and verify patient information and insurance details.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for patient appointments.
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Assist in processing patient payments and managing financial transactions.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Support clinic operations by performing other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with office software and electronic medical records systems.
