Job Description

Payroll Manager

Are you a collaborative, detail-oriented, and organized Payroll Manager with union experience? Our client is seeking a Payroll Manager to own the payroll process and serve as the main point of contact for the designated companies. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and growing environment while reporting directly to the Payroll Director.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process and validate weekly payrolls

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws

· Manage union payroll and monthly reporting

· Handle multi-state payroll processing

· Address employee payroll concerns and provide timely resolutions

· Maintain and improve payroll processes and procedures

· Work with payroll providers on tax accounts, audits, and reconciliations

· Serve as a back-up for multi-company payrolls and support year-end/W-2 processes.

What We’re Looking For:

· 5+ years of payroll processing experience (certified payroll processing a plus)

· Union payroll experience required

· Strong knowledge of payroll functions, compliance, and tax regulations

· Multi-state payroll experience required

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Payroll and ERP systems

· Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

· Work onsite with some flexibility
