Akkodis is seeking a Product Owner - Instant Payments for a Contract job with a client in New York NY 10007 (Hybrid 3 days) . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background with performance testing tools.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience.

Product Owner - Instant Payments job responsibilities include:

• Solid understanding of instant payment systems (e.g., RTP, SEPA Instant, FedNow, SWIFT GPI) and financial messaging standards (ISO 20022).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Scrum frameworks.
• Experience working with APIs, microservices architecture, and payment gateways.
• Basic understanding of security protocols and compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, AML, and KYC.

Desired Qualifications:

• Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for instant payment processing in alignment with the company’s broader objectives.
• Work closely with Product Manager to write and groom user stories
• Manage the efforts of a software development pod including: Scrum Master and up to 10 Developers
• 5+ years of experience in a product owner or product management role, preferably in financial services or payment systems.
• Proven track record of managing software products in the real-time payments or financial transaction processing domain.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
• Experience with real-time processing platforms and high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in the financial services space, such as blockchain, AI-driven fraud detection, and cloud-native architecture.
