A Day in the Life of a School Psychologist at PSI:

As a School Psychologist , your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting testing and assessments for students across various grade levels, such as full and individual evaluations .
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to provide insights and recommendations for individual education plans .
  • Designing individualized education plans to address functional and academic needs .
  • Providing individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, developmental, and behavioral challenges .
  • Using your expertise to improve the social, emotional, and academic well-being of children.

What We're Looking for:

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology , Counseling Psychology , School Psychology , or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with children or pediatric populations in a school setting .
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Hold a valid Professional Educator License from the State of Illinois with an Endorsement in School Psychology.
