User Experience Designer

Hybrid 2-3 days/week

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented mid-level UX Designer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in user experience (UX) design, with expertise in application design and the ability to create intuitive user flows, journeys, and personas for both mobile and web applications. While experience in B2B and finance is a plus, it is not mandatory. We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can understand complex applications, and is passionate about delivering exceptional designs.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver interactive and visually compelling user experiences across multiple products and platforms.
• Simplify and unify complex information into intuitive interactions, flows, charts, and other forms of visual representation.
• Generate workflows, user journeys, and create wireframes and high-fidelity designs that align with business goals and end-user needs.
• Work closely with product owners, strategists, and stakeholders to translate business objectives into user-centered designs.
• Collaborate directly with developers to turn wireframes and visualizations into production-ready prototypes based on our established design language.
• Conduct design reviews and perform quality checks to ensure adherence to design standards.
• Facilitate feedback sessions and prototype reviews with stakeholders and end-users to validate design concepts.
• Occasionally run and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of UX Design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in Axure RP, Figma, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in human-centered design methodologies and best practices.
• Experience designing and presenting interface designs that simplify complex data and processes.
• Strong communication skills to convey design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and adapt to new challenges.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile environments using methodologies like Scrum, XP, or Kanban, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Axure, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in B2B finance, insurance, fintech, or financial services.
• Ability to contribute to the end-to-end design process and speak to various stages of design.
• Coding skills are beneficial but not required.

Contract Talent The salary range for this position is 45/hr to 50/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
