POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for overall operations of the warehouse including all equipment, rental records and material ordering. Coordinate deliveries to job sites.
RESPONSIBILITES
Primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate needed items on projects to help keep the projects running smoothly
Receive equipment and materials lists from foreman and set up delivery
Keep a stock of needed sundries and certain materials to limit trips to supply houses
Some standard items ie: safety glasses, brushes, rags, etc. should always be carried by truck driver
Shop for prices on equipment and materials
Maintain truck maintenance needs
Have equipment serviced on a regular basis
Act as truck driver. Will coordinate schedules and deliveries with the Superintendent
All truck driver orders should come directly from the Superintendent
Oversee equipment and materials ordering. All equipment/materials should be ordered in advance so they will be available when needed
Always keep warehouse and yard clean
Bring forward new ideas, recommendations that provide cost savings to the Branch
Research new equipment
Keep a running list of warehouse materials available for use
Keep track of equipment
Maintain list of inventories within warehouse. Track inventory
Manage hazardous materials and keep to a minimum
Valid Driver’s License, Minimum Class B CDL required
High school diploma or equivalent
5-10 years commercial driving experience is a plus
Ability to operate a boom truck and have appropriate certification is a plus
Mechanical ability a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at one time
Familiarity with Microsoft office applications, Outlook, and Internet research a plus
Good communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage warehouse operations for multiple branches is a plus
OSHA 10-hour a plus
HAZMAT certification or be willing to get certified
Must have or be able to get Certification of Fitness Card
Must be willing to work flexible hours
